You may actually care about your company managing their assets when you will hear that they will be saving money by managing them in the right way. This of course means that this Christmas you could in fact be in store for a very nice bonus. How could this actually happen for you?

Well with asset tracking your company could know exactly what to do with all of their assets which means they may save a bit of money at the end of the year. Does this really mean a nice bonus for all of the employees.

So How Can Asset Tracking Actually Help You?

Although it is mostly the big companies that go with this kind of thing the smaller companies do too. For the bigger companies it can be very hard for everyone to track all of the assets in the company. Make sure that you remember that every computer every single fax machine and desks are all assets too. Not to mention all of the buildings and things you may or may not have. This becomes a really big problem for someone who is actually trying to track all of these assets.

Basically if you get something like inventory management software it will allow you to track all of your asset management softwareand will tell you when things are perhaps looking a bit old or the insurance is almost up on them. This is going to allow the business to see what needs replacing which is going to be very useful indeed.

This could mean that there is a bit of extra money available at the end of the year for those very nice bonuses. This is something that the employees would love and I think that if you can afford it you should go for it.

Christmas is a very important time of year for a company and as everything comes to a close for one year you have to be either looking forward to a new year or of course dreading the next. Whatever the case you still need to take care of the company when everyone is away and using something like asset tracking can really help when it comes to looking after things when the boss is out of the office.

Well with asset tracking your company could know exactly what to do with all of their assets which means they may save a bit of money at the end of the year. The boss may actually not need to come in over the Christmas holidays to come in and fix loads of problems which of course is always handy.

So what is asset management all about? Well buy getting something like inventory management software you are able to track all of the things that you might want to track by using this software. It is very useful indeed as it will tell you exactly when things are in need of replacing. You do need to take into consideration that you perhaps only need this if you have a bigger company although I will not say that this is always the case.

Smaller companies with many computers are in certain need of something like this because it can be very hard to track all of the machines at once!

So this Christmas could be the year that you company is in need of some fixed asset accounting as it can really help out. You could also save a bit of money which means you could give out some nice Christmas bonuses.

Government grants to start a business can be exploited to set up the basic infrastructure of the business like the necessary furniture, making interior to enhance your office atmosphere, paying security amount in the case of tenders for example. When you take an exporting business for example, robust capital is critical for numerous issues like to buy transporting vehicles, materials used to pack the assembled items, as it is much necessary in packing for the exporting goods for example. Using the grants in the successful way will definitely make you flourish and grow in your business. Hence, government grants are imperative to the bold businessmen.

Availing loans is relatively simpler than availing Government grants to start a business. Use the SBA or growing businesses Administration, if you prefer grants. Finishing the business grants application is lengthy and complicated, than it is for executive loans. Along with the application, you’ll be asked to surround complete business plan. Further, the grant amount is extremely limited and you should ensure to use it in a well planned way. You can also use the internet facility to be acquainted with all the accessible government grants.

When you find the right kind of establishments, you will avail various details for your business, thru their assistance. Their service also include making functional plan for SOHO, the way to apply for Government grants to start a business, to sign up for awards, to apply for loans with low interest, and assorted other specialised functions.

Generally, availing government grant isn’t easy and easy. You want to check various programs attached to the grants and apply for it. Although, it is simple, the search is difficult and boring. Hiring an expert is wise, but they will charge a manageable fees.

Flash is a cool thing for people that first time they see it but after that it can get very annoying which is why a lot of people just tend to scrap it now. Once this initial “wow” factor has gone through you will start to see users dropping off like flies and this is because there are many problems when it comes to using flash.

99.9% of the time flash will give you very poor usability disease. There are some good designs of flash and it has to be said that when it is done right it looks simply fantastic but most of the time they are just awful websites.

So why does flash degrade websites?

Encourages Design Abuse

Breaks Fundamental Interaction Principles

Directs Attention For The Site’s Value

A huge mistske that people tend to make when they are thinking of having their site designed is that they seem to think flash is going to do their site some huge favours. Of course it will be a success if you have the budget but this is not likely as a decent looking flash site is going to cost you possible thousands upon thousands.

Another problem is the time it takes to design a great looking flash site. It will take a very long time to get the animation together and this is simply for the home page, imagine if you wanted the entire site to be flash?

A small bit of flash on the site can be very useful indeed and look brilliant but I would never say to go too far with it as it just takes too long to load.

If you are struggling to realise just how you want your site designed then I suggest getting a decent web design team involved.

Of course if you have a site and it isn’t doing well you could bring in the SEO team.

There are many companies that have suffered closures this year, some bigger than others but what are the reasons behind this?

Woolworths PLC

Well as a former member of the group I must say that I know exactly why the company closed and part of it was indeed down to the poor fixed asset accounting that the company had been doing. Woolworths were a gigantic company and the reason they failed is because there were idiots running it. The directors actuall knew the company was in serious trouble and they just didnt seem to try and do anything about it at all. This obviously failed and I must say a lot of this was to do with the thick headed directors not being able to manage their assetsThis obviously failed and I must say a lot of this was to do with the thick headed directors not being able to manage their assets.

XL

A lot of this was of course down to the fuel prices that had been steadily on the rise in the late part of 2008 and the other was that XL were not filling their planes. Planes of course were the primary asset of the company therefore they were not managing their assets in the correct way. One of the other reasons that this company fell is because the recession had started to make people stop and think about going away.

MFI

This is something that can be put to many other things again. One of the major reasons is because they didn’t really put enough time into caring for their customers. The offers that they had were always lying and didn’t include what you thought was included in the deals. Another big problem is that they didnt realise that IKEA would come in and steal the limelight, the fact is they were the better company.

So the advice here? Get some asset tracking in there and make sure your inventory management software is perfect!

There are so many sites out there that are simply just not up to scratch and need a bit of a mess around with before they are capable of actually keeping up with their competitors which is of course where web design come into it all.

What Are The Major Signs That Your Site Needs Work Done To It?

Flashy?

If your site is mainly made up for flash then this is a sure sign that you are in a big need of an update. When flash first came into play it was very popular indeed but nowadays it is almost as if people are fighting not to have flash on their website. Why does this happen? One of the really big downsides of flash is that it takes a very long time indeed to load up which is the big problem for many people.

Broken Links?

If you have a lot of broken links across the site then I know for a fact that you are not going to be getting all of the business you deserve as people will leave the site. If this is proving to be a problem to a visitor to the site then you know what they are going to be dong right? They will simply come into the site see that it is pants and go elsewhere.

This actually brings me very nicely to the final point.

Navigation

If you have a site that just doesn’t make sense then you need to sort it because you will be losing potential customers from it. There are literally hundreds of competitors out there and if your site isnt up to scratch they will without a doubt go elsewhere.

If you think that your site is optimised to the best that it can be but you are still not getting anywhere when it comes to Google why not try some SEO. It is something like this that will help you drive traffic into the site and of course get you some decent rankings in Google.

The business cards of today have been around for many years and let’s face it, most people are annoyed by them but there hasn’t been a viable alternative. Contact information is not always updated. Recipients don’t like carrying them around. Trees get killed and the cards get thrown away.

Enter the next generation business card, an online business card on your very own domain name. Indeed there have been online and digital efforts previously, but none used your own domain name which is much more powerful. Now this is how you look professional.

What I’m referring to is the awesome .tel technology that allows anyone to register thier own www.yourname.tel. As you probably already know, your online business card can be accessed exactly the way a website can and that’s what’s so cool about it. Your customers can simply open up their browser and type your .tel names and voila, your information is available. They can then go on to select the many ways to contact you or just look at your information and qualifications.

Without much delay, here are 10 reasons why you should get one now.

1. Yourname.tel loads ligntning fast on a mobile phone.

Yeah, people can visit your .tel on a PC, but if they need to call you or quickly look at your info they can. People always carry their cell phones with them so you have to be easily accessible with a .tel online business card.

2. All of your contact information is clickable.

If a client wants to contact you while checking yout yourname.tel with their mobile phone, they would click on your phone number. If they want to skype you, they click on your skype. If they want to email you, they click on your email address. If they want to contact you via facebook, they click on your facebook. If they want to see your location, they click on the map. It’s as easy as that. It’s not possible to click on traditional business cards and have your phone dial automatically, but it’s possible with .tel.

3. Web hosting is not necessary.

For those who understand how the web works, you’re thinking, “How can it be?” That’s the awesomeness of .tel at work. Information is stored in the DNS so there’s no need to pay for webhosting.

4. It’s easy, you don’t have to worry about web designing. Just log in and fill out your info.

How can it be that easy? Once again, data is placed in the DNS so it’s no longer required to pay for web designing.

5. Doesn’t cost much.

You can own your very own .tel name for the amount of a dinner and have your online business card live almost instantly.

6. You can enter important info about yourself or your company.

You can enter info like rates, hours, restaurant menu, or even your resume.

7. Give yourname.tel to people and they’ll always remain updated to changes in contact info.

You can stop calling all your friends, families, and clients when you change your phone number or email or whatever. If they have your .tel, they’ll stay updated.

8. People don’t have to remember your phone number anymore.

They can contact you just by visiting your .tel, which is easier to remember than your phone number and they can be certain they’ll reach you and not some old number. Dialing phone numbers should be extinct by now.

9. Public or Private.

You can make your business info visible to the world if you like. Google can pick up and list your business if that’s what you’re aiming for. You can also have specific information be private for specific people if you want.

10. Every .tel is unique.

This means that if you have the same name as someone else, you might lose your name to the competition. Get it before it’s gone because every .tel name is unique.

You can keep your paper business cards if you love ‘em that much. You can print your yourname.tel on traditional cards or scribble it on a piece of paper. It’s up to you. If you print your .tel on cards, you don’t need to worry about your contact info being outdated. Your .tel will help people stay updated. Now you have to go and register .tel while your name is available. You’ll love it.

A well known newspaper worker has said that their sites do not need SEO because of the great Rankings they are getting. Well I have just had a little peek into some of their rankings and yeah they rank in the top 10 for newspaper and news but they aren’t in the top 5 which means they are certainly in need of some SEO.

Of course the main point here is that the company will be publishing fresh content on the site all of the time which of course is partly why they are doing well in the serps, try telling an e-oommerce site that they do not need SEO, it is stupid. The guy clearly understands what he is on about to a certain extent but clearly he doesnt know everything. I would certainly love to agree with the guy if they were ranking as well as a national paper really should be. SEO not needed, fat chance!

A lot of companies that are starting out on the web actually need SEO to bring in customers to them. One of the best things to do is contact an SEO engineer just to see how much things could be costing you as it is alwasy worth asking. On top of this a lot of the time the problems will actually come from poor web design which is why more often than not an SEO Team will have web designers there to help out on the sites they are working on.

I think that in conclusion that it is very rare that a company will not need any form of SEO to succeed and this has been proven by this newspaper not having the rankings it could potenially have.

Believe it or not, SEO is a very important thing when it comes to running a site online. Something that is great about SEO is that the higher you are in the SERPS the more traffic you are going to recieve which of course means more money coming in.

How Is This SEO Working?

A company that is very good in offering out SEO will work together with you to target certain key phrases for your business and they will get those ranking and improve traffic to the site. It is not impossible for a limited amount of SEO to be done internally but I would certainly not recommend just doing this as if you do this the likelihood is that you will not be using SEO to the full potential that you could be using it for.

A trained SEO will look into the site to see what key terms are best for you and then they will put them forward for you to look at. Of course you can come back and disagree but you have to realise that a trained SEO knows exactly what they are talking about. If you are a small site I would certainly not go after the bigger terms to start with as you are not likely to get anywhere, however let your SEO decide on that. This is why an SEO may suggest not going for the bigger terms to begin with.

An SEO is not all about off site activity and they may tell you that you need a bit of web design to sort out some of the things on the site. You should always take the site into consideration when you are thinking about SEO because a great site will allow an SEO to work in links better.

So with all of this in mind, perhaps it is time you hired an SEO team!
